Live vehicle positions

The map moves with the operation.

LIVEOP shares vehicle positions across the operational picture in sub-second intervals. The room, the field and connected applications stay aligned as units move.

One update, any destination

Live now. Connected everywhere.

LIVEOP Extensions can send each accepted position to the operational picture, your own data storage and potentially any connected system.

Privacy for duty officers

Share the function, not someone’s private time.

Location sharing can follow the active duty shift. When the officer takes duty, the operational position becomes available. When the shift ends, sharing can stop automatically.

FAQ

Live positions, in practice.

How quickly are positions shared?
Once LIVEOP receives a position update, it can distribute that update to connected, authorized clients in sub-second intervals. The source device or vehicle system determines how often a new position is supplied.
What can LIVEOP Extensions connect?
Extensions let the position service exchange updates with connected systems beyond the LIVEOP platform. Talking Traffic is one example: live vehicle positions can be forwarded to automatically trigger traffic lights for approaching vehicles.
Can we keep position history in our own environment?
Yes. A configured extension can replicate position updates automatically to Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL or PostgreSQL. This gives your BI and audit teams direct access to current positions and retained history in storage your organization controls.
How does duty-based privacy work?
Your organization can block position sharing whenever a duty officer has no active shift. It can also disable sharing entirely or choose whether positions are sent while a unit is idle.

We will show the live map, your storage path and the privacy policy around the shift.
