Dispatch intelligence and coverage planning

Delta

One engine for the unit you send and the coverage you promise.

Delta supports live dispatch with ranked, explainable response proposals and gives planners repeatable regional coverage calculations using the same stations, vehicles and emergency road network.

One operational truth

The plan should predict the decision. The decision should prove the plan.

Operations and planning no longer have to work from separate models. Delta connects the live response with the assumptions behind regional coverage, so policy can be tested against reality and every change can be calculated again.

Where Delta sits

One system answers the question in the room and the question in the boardroom.

Live operation

Which unit fits this incident now?

Delta ranks the available units using incident context, vehicle capability, live position, status, turnout time and your operational response rules.

Coverage planning

Can we deliver the coverage we promise?

Delta calculates arrival times, crew sufficiency and norm performance across the region using the same stations, vehicles and road network.

The proposal and the coverage plan share one calculation model.

Response intelligence

See which units fit before choosing which one goes.

Delta brings the incident, the available units and your response policy together in one ranked proposal. The control room sees the strongest operational options immediately and remains responsible for the final decision.

Live operational context: vehicle position, turnout time, status and its associated time penalty
Rules that reflect the service: incident, area, period and vehicle requirements, exclusions and station ordering
Response that anticipates complexity: opposite-carriageway response and additional deployment needs when arrival will be slow

Every proposal explained

Every unit considered. Every reason made visible.

Delta records how every unit reached its position in the proposal, including the units that were excluded. Operational officers can inspect the applied rules, timing adjustments and route origin in plain language before taking the recommendation into the room.

What-if scenarios

See the operational effect before making the change.

Duplicate the current scenario, change one assumption and compare the result. Move a station in the model, change vehicle availability, alter turnout times or test another crew configuration while the live organization remains untouched.

Move a station

Calculate a unit from another station location while retaining its real profiles and identity.

Change availability

Combine active vehicle types, live positions and time penalties for the statuses used in operation.

Reconfigure the crew

Test required crew strength, defaults per unit and station-level overrides.

Compare completed runs and see where neighbourhoods, objects, exceedances and arrival times changed.

Coverage intelligence

See your region respond before an incident happens.

Delta calculates how the first, second and third vehicle reach every part of the region, when sufficient crew arrives and where response norms come under pressure. Change the metric and the same spatial model reveals a different operational question.

Norm performance in context

Classify neighbourhoods and surface attention objects where arrival time exceeds the applicable norm.

Evidence ready to compare

Use maps, response curves, strength tables and run comparisons to show what changed.

Your regional intelligence

Use the data your organization trusts. See exactly where it differs.

Bring your own object characteristics and neighbourhood geography into Delta as reusable datasets. Before calculating, compare them with the national sources and review every match, difference, omission and unfamiliar record in both directions.

Reproducible by design

Every published result carries the assumptions that produced it.

Each coverage run retains its participating stations, scenario, periods, roadworks setting, vehicle and crew assumptions, norms and selected data versions. Re-run it when conditions change or compare it directly with the plan in force today.

Versioned inputs: keep the selected regional and national datasets attached to the run
Transparent progress: follow every stage from validation to the completed map

Prove it in your own operation

Let every real call test the model before the model changes a decision.

Run Delta beside the existing control-room process for weeks or months. It records what each scenario would have proposed for the incidents your organization actually handles, while dispatch continues exactly as it does today.

Complete history

Inspect every proposal, its source data and decision log, then export the record.

Connected operation

Bring the calculation into the systems that need it.

Delta connects with control-room systems, imports station and unit data and makes emergency-vehicle driving times available to authorized external applications.

FAQ

What operational, planning and technology teams want to know.

Does Delta make the dispatch decision?
Delta provides a ranked, explainable response proposal. The authorized control-room operator remains responsible for the live decision.
Can we understand why a unit was excluded or ranked lower?
Yes. The decision log records every unit considered and explains exclusions, timing adjustments, route origins and ordering rules in plain language.
How can we evaluate Delta before changing dispatch?
Shadow mode runs selected scenarios beside the existing process and records what Delta would have proposed for each real dispatch. It does not alert or deploy units.
Can planners test station moves, crew changes and roadworks?
Yes. Scenarios can calculate units from alternative station locations, change vehicle and crew assumptions, apply status penalties and include roadworks in the coverage calculation.
Can we use our own object and neighbourhood data?
Yes. Customer-supplied object characteristics and neighbourhood layers can be stored as reusable versions. Delta compares them with national datasets and shows where the sources differ before the run.
What makes a coverage run reproducible?
A completed run retains its selected data versions, areas, scenario, periods, handling time, roadworks choice, vehicles, crews, stations, priority, norms and classification policy.
Can Delta provide routing to other systems?
Yes. Authorized external clients can request emergency-vehicle driving times through a region-scoped and rate-limited OAuth 2.0 interface. Requests are logged against the named client.
